I met Lois Lowry, author of "The Giver" and "Number the Stars" and many other books (38 total), at a book signing on Wednesday night. She was very interesting. She showed us a PowerPoint with photos of some of her family, her dog, and her house in Maine (her summer house) and told us about some of her upcoming books. I bought a hardcover copy of "The Giver" and her newest book 'The Birthday Ball." I am really busy trying to finish the semester, but I am looking forward to reading them once I have some free time.
